We are no longer able to feel the four seasons because of the effects of climate change and living in cities. As Japan is in the new Reiwa period, what is the new way of feeling nature? The answer to that question is “Cyber Wagashi,” where you can taste the season by data. It is a Japanese-style confectionery that uses a 3D printer to develop unique algorithms based on weather data. We measured a maximum pressure and a minimum pressure in a specific area around the observation points in Tokyo and generated a 3D model from the four data. We serve two types of Japanese sweets named “high pressure” and “low pressure” which are different every day according to the weather. We hope that experiencing nature through data will give you a chance to think about the changing global environment. photo: Cyber Wagashi
